Advanced Aircrew Academy Launches IS-BAO Changes Tool
- October 22, 2014
Advanced Aircrew Academy announces a new International Standard for Business Aircraft Operators (IS-BAO) tool designed to assist operators in assessing annual changes to the Standard. Each year, International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) publishes a revised Standard. IS-BAO registered operators must be aware of, interpret, document, and implement the changes applicable to their operation.
Interpreting what the new IS-BAO language means can require an advanced degree in IS-BAO, which is a resource not always readily available in busy flight departments. Incorporating the changes into flight department operations is another resource challenging task.
Leveraging Advanced Aircrew Academy’s IS-BAO Support Service Affiliate status and our expertise in training, the new tool identifies each change in the standard, assesses it for applicability to your operation, then, if applicable, provides a recommendation for changes to your documentation in your FOM/GOM, SMS, and/or International Ops Manual.
The new tool is currently available for the 2014 changes to IS-BAO and will be ready for the 2015 changes early next year.
