Eye of the PilotTM
Advanced Aircrew Academy is releasing our new scenario-based Part 135 eLearning recurrent curriculum! Instead of rote memorization and reading definitions, this trip-based approach to recurrent training uses real-world experiences to meet your training objectives. By working through flight scenarios, learners can apply critical thinking to decision-making in complex flight route situations.
This type of FAA-compliant training produces more effective outcomes by developing better problem-solving skills, higher retention power, and elevated situational awareness. We also offer customized training options to make the scenarios and procedures operator-specific, up-to-date, interesting, and effective.
Advanced Aircrew Academy is TSOC Approved by the FAA!
Advanced Aircrew Academy is authorized by the FAA to provide you with a Training Statement of Compliance (TSOC), which allows our training modules to be used to obtain certain international Part 91 Letters of Authorization (LOAs) for new aircraft.
We have International Procedures training modules that can meet your training requirements and we can tailor the contents of the training curriculum, within parameters, from the elective list to meet additional LOA authorizations or spotlighting specific areas of operation.

New Perspectives
We have added an Air Traffic Controller Subject Matter Expert to our team. With experience building training programs for ATC for Pilots, he brings an Air Traffic Control perspective to our training. Pro Tips are being added to our existing training modules as well as developing a new training module on ATC tips for business aviation pilots.
Scheduler/Flight Coordinator Modules and Curriculum
Advanced Aircrew Academy is expanding our scheduler/flight coordinator training options. Many flight departments do not use FAA-certificated Dispatchers, so many times there is a knowledge gap regarding trip requirements, crew scheduling, and aircraft usage. We can provide individual modules or a comprehensive curriculum to address each operator's needs.
Based on IS-BAO, BASC, and/or your operator's manuals, we will derive a recommended training plan based on the scheduler/flight coordinator's role within your flight operation. We offer complimentary training program analysis and customized operator-specific training plans to offer the right training, at the right time, for your schedulers/flight coordinators.
Following are the individual module topics for Flight Coordinators:
- Aircraft and Performance
- Airports and Navigation
- Errors and Procedural Non-Compliance
- Human Factors
- International Procedures
- Regulations and Emergencies
- Weather Resources
- Weather Theory
- Winter Operations/Surface Contamination
Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS/drone) Modules
Our Subject Matter Experts have been listening to the industry and are developing training modules for Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS/drone) operators. Existing Part 91 flight departments are increasingly being tasked with UAS roles and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations are rapidly evolving to account for operations over people, infrastructure, other UAS, and crewed aircraft.
Numerous industries are expanding their flight departments into UAS operations. Advanced Aircrew Academy is filling that training gap. The following UAS modules are currently available or in development:
- Company Operations Manual (custom)
- Dangerous Goods / Hazmat
- Emergency Procedures and Security
- Errors and Procedural Non-Compliance – available now!
- Fatigue Management
- Human Factors – available now!
- OSHA Topics for UAS
- Safety Management Systems for UAS
- UAS Maintenance
- Weather

Latest Released Modules
First Aid (for non-pilots)
IS-BAO-registered operators are using our First Aid eLearning module to satisfy the training requirements for non-flight crewmembers and audit standard for First Aid training for ground personnel. This one-hour module covers general considerations, life-threatening emergencies including specific medical conditions, and traumatic and environmental emergencies. The module includes an exam and a certificate for your training records.
Human Trafficking Awareness
Human Trafficking Awareness is required for air carrier flight attendants, and we are seeing Part 135 operators adopting the Blue Lightning initiative using this module for all flight crewmembers. Human trafficking awareness has become a point of emphasis for international organizations. As a member of the aviation community, there are signs you can be alert to and help stop this practice.
Second-In-Command (SIC) Professional Development Program (PDP)
Second-In-Command (SIC) Professional Development Program (PDP) is for your mentor captains, so no right seat goes empty! Our SIC PDP allows an SIC in a multi-engine airplane or single-engine, turbine-powered airplane in Part 135 operations to log SIC flight time during operations that do not require a second pilot. This module satisfies the FAA Ops Spec A062 requirement for additional training for a Pilot-in-Command (PIC) who flies with these SICs.
